At Batter Up Bistro, we combine old world methods with seasonal flavors, high quality food, energetic staff, and great customer service to our guests. In addition, we believe bread is an important staple. Therefore, "breaking bread" is both our center and our foundation.
We source our flour and other grains from a small local mill just south of Lansing. Our bread and pastries are made daily in small batches by hand with no preservatives. We honor process over production. As the world modernizes, society has fallen into a habitual rush. Instead, we are honoring the fact that good food takes time to create. This especially holds true for our bread. All of our loaves contain no or minimal commercial yeast. They are naturally leavened for several hours, even days sometimes. This yields a more substantial and flavorful product. Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or desire a slower, more homey dine-in experience, we welcome you.
